It appears that megastar Chiranjeevi has become a regular presence at any major event attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visits to Andhra Pradesh.
Once again, Chiranjeevi is expected to be a star attraction at Prime Minister Modi’s event in Amaravati on Friday, where the Prime Minister will relaunch the capital city works and lay the foundation stone for several other major projects.
The state government has made elaborate arrangements for the high-profile public meeting, which is expected to draw a large crowd.
Invitations have been extended to several dignitaries, with 14 notable individuals specially invited to the Prime Minister’s event.
These include former Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and several Union Ministers, including Telangana’s Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay.
The highlight, however, will be the presence of megastar Chiranjeevi, who has been invited as a special guest. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu personally called the actor to attend the grand event.
Reportedly, the Prime Minister’s Office conveyed that Modi specifically wanted Chiranjeevi to share the dais at Amaravati, alongside his younger brother and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and of course, Naidu.
For reasons not publicly known, Modi seems to have developed a strong affinity for Chiranjeevi.
Even during Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure, the Prime Minister ensured Chiranjeevi's presence at the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Alluri Sitarama Raju.
Chiranjeevi was also present at the swearing-in ceremony of Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and other ministers on June 13, which was attended by Modi.
The moment when the Prime Minister raised the hands of both the "mega brothers" on stage drew loud applause from the audience.
In addition to the Amaravati capital projects, Modi will also lay foundation stones and inaugurate various Central government initiatives across different regions of Andhra Pradesh.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to attend the Amaravati event for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
After the program, he will depart for Gannavaram airport at 4:55 PM by helicopter and then return to Delhi.
