The Mega family has been going through a rough patch at the box office.
Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and Varun Tej have all faced setbacks with their recent films, while Pawan Kalyan’s much-hyped comeback Hari Hara Veera Mallu received mixed reviews and heavy trolling for its visual effects — despite registering the best opening of his career.
Collectively, the leading stars of the Mega camp have not delivered a unanimously successful blockbuster in the last couple of years.
Now, all eyes are on the upcoming biggies: Pawan Kalyan’s OG, Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara, and Ram Charan’s Peddi.
While OG has generated immense buzz, it is largely seen as a Telugu-centric mass film and may not have broad pan-Indian appeal. That’s why Mega fans are pinning their highest hopes on Peddi to bring back the glory.
Ram Charan’s drastic physical transformation to portray a rugged sportsman, along with the impactful video glimpse, has significantly boosted expectations.
Fans are confident that director Buchi Babu Sana will draw a powerful performance from Charan and deliver an emotionally rich film.
Adding to the excitement is the collaboration with music maestro A.R. Rahman, which promises a memorable soundtrack.
Among the Mega camp’s upcoming projects, Peddi is being seen as the most promising contender for a true pan-Indian blockbuster.
