Mahesh Babu: From Child Artiste To Experiments To Stardom

Mahesh Babu: From Child Artiste To Experiments To Stardom

Not every star kid can have a stardom. It requires an extra toil to reach the level or surpass their dads.

Mahesh Babu is one such actor who started his career as a child artiste. He got exposed to cinema-making right from his teenage and eventually once he debuted as a hero with Rajakumarudu, he started going experimental.

In the initial stages of career he did films with varied characterizations. Be it Yuvaraju, Vamsi, Murari, Takkari Donga and Bobby he projected himself in different shades, not just in the make up or makeover, but with diction and persona.

Then came 'Okkadu', the biggest mass commercial hit. But he didn't get trapped into the shackles of the so-called hit formula. He is the only hero who ventured to come up with the films like Nijam and Naani just after that. While 'Nijam' shows him as a weak, innocent and sincere young man; 'Naani' has shown him as an overactive but mentally not matured. One needs to have guts to portray such roles being a star.

These experiments didn't work at the box office and so he moved on to the regular format with 'Arjun' and 'Athadu'. Though the films failed at the box office, they showcased Mahesh Babu's acting skills in poise. That made all the difference and set a unique image to the star on a whole.

The subsequent film "Pokiri" in 2006 shook the industry, becoming an all time hit. Mahesh Babu became the unbeatable star by all means. He won the attention of not just families, ladies and kids but also the masses in every center of film business.

Though he tasted big flops like Sainikudu and Athidhi, the film Khaleja remained as a sensible film with an out of the box narrative in his filmography.

'Dookudu' has shown another angle in Mahesh Babu with ease in doing timely comedy with non stop flow of dialogues. The success of the film took the star to every one's hearts including that of anti fans.

After this, 'Businessman' failed at the box office but stood up as one of the films with finest dialogues.

Seethamma Vakitklo Sirimalle Chettu is another film which is out of formula. 1:Nenokkadine also hits a different genre. Aagadu was a disaster. But 'Srimanthudu' brought him huge success with a social angle. Yes, this is in fact an experiment in commercial mode.

'Brahmotsavam' failed and 'Spyder', another experiment, also collapsed. But again 'Bharat Ane Nenu' with a social element worked at the box office. 'Maharshi' also moved in the same track scoring another hit. 'Sarileru Neekevaru' is the first film from Mahesh Babu with patriotic tinge which proved its muscle at the box office.

Finally 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' came back as a perfect formula that turned the attention of the audience though garnered mixed talk.

The career of Mahesh Babu looks adventurous with several experiments, risks and at the same time recovering within no time with a different film. The flexibility in him to carry different types of roles within his purview made him the biggest star of Tollywood.

Mahesh is now coming up with Trivikram again after Athadu and Khaleja. Then he is also working with Rajamouli for the first time. Both the films are definitely promising by combination wise which are set to release in between 2023 and 2024.

Greatandhra wishes Mahesh Babu a very happy birthday. He is one of the rarest actors who defies age with his everlasting young looks. Keep rocking and keep inspiring Superstar!
