Merlapaka Gandhi’s latest directorial Maestro, an official remake of Hindi movie Andhadhun, will premiere on Disney + Hotstar on 17th of this month.
The film starring Nithiin will feature Nabha Natesh as leading lady and Tamannaah Bhatia in a negative-shaded role.
Gandhi says he instantly loved thrilling, crime and humour elements in Andhadhun, so he immediately said yes when Nithiin and Sudhakar Reddy approached him with the remake proposal.
"We made necessary changes to the script. The love story and climax portions will be different from the original."
The director is all praises for Nithiin who has come up with an exceptional performance as a blind.
"Nithiin loved the outcome of the movie. I'll definitely do a straight movie with him in near future."
Merlapaka informs, they have tried different options for the grey-shaded role. “It's my idea to rope in young actress like Tamannaah for the role."
The director clarifies, he will never do remakes and stated to announce his next project soon.
