KCR green signals to BRS leaders to attack Kavitha

KCR green signals to BRS leaders to attack Kavitha

As Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha has stepped up attack on the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and its leaders in the recent past, her father and party president K Chandrasekhar Rao is learnt to have given green signal to the party leaders to launch a counter-attack.

KCR had been maintaining a lot of restraint till now towards his daughter, though she had been making sharp comments against the party leaders wherever she went and pointing out to the lack of adequate development of Telangana during the BRS regime.

Kavitha has been adopting an aggressive posture during her ongoing state tour under the banner of “Jagriti Janam Baata.”

Notably, her criticism has been directed more toward the BRS than toward the ruling Congress government.

Kavitha has been consistently targeting local BRS leaders, especially former ministers, during her district-level meetings.

This shift has caused significant discontent among BRS cadre, who say they previously exercised restraint out of respect for her position as KCR’s daughter.

With fresh signals reportedly coming from the party high command, the BRS leaders now say they will respond “point for point.”

According to internal party sources, the BRS leadership has granted a green signal to certain senior leaders to initiate a “reverse attack” to counter Kavitha’s remarks.

The change in tone is already visible as some leaders have publicly toughened their stand against her statements.

Kavitha’s state-wide tour, intended to rebuild mass connect, has inadvertently triggered tension within the party ranks.

Her focus on internal party shortcomings rather than attacking the ruling Congress has created a perception of internal confrontation at a time when the BRS is struggling to regain political momentum.

Party insiders say the new directive from the leadership aims to reassert organisational discipline and ensure that internal criticism does not weaken the party’s public standing.
