“Karthikeya 2” was released in Hindi along with the Telugu version on Saturday.
Due to the presence of two big Bollywood movies – “Laal Singh Chaddha” and “Raksha Bandhan”, the film could not find many screens on the first day.
On the first day, the film collected a paltry Rs 7 lakhs. The second day saw a jump to Rs 23 lakhs.
However, the film saw a magical turnaround on the Independence Day holiday.
“Karthikeya 2” collected more than one crore rupees on Monday. This is exponential growth. A major contribution is coming from Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Nikhil Siddharth is not known to Hindi audiences. But the film’s mythological content is driving the collections. The producers are planning to have a wide release next week.
Even if the film achieves the Rs 10 crore mark in Hindi, it will be a huge achievement.
