Kantara, 1st Indian Film To Have English Release

Rishab Shetty's epic mythological action film Kantara Chapter 1, which is running successfully and is set to enter its fourth week, is now very close to reaching 800 Cr in worldwide gross.

The movie is now set for its release in English. Kantara Chapter 1 becomes the first Indian film to have an English-dubbed version.

The English version, set to release on the 31st of this month, is expected to further boost its box office numbers.

Interestingly, the makers shortened the runtime to 2 hours and 14 minutes to better engage overseas audiences with a crisper, more concise experience.

Usually, Indian films are released overseas in regional languages. But for the first time, an Indian movie is getting an official English release.

Produced by Hombale Films, Kantara Chapter 1 recently crossed the 100 Cr mark in the Telugu states alone.

In North America, this Rishab Shetty directorial is inching toward the $5 million mark.
