Prabhas' fans and critics alike agree that it met expectations.

However, many viewers, especially those familiar with international cinema, believe Nag Ashwin borrowed heavily from various Hollywood dystopian thrillers and sci-fi dramas, such as the Dune series and Black Panther.

There are also noticeable similarities with Mad Max: Fury Road and The Lord of the Rings. Some even claim that the basic plot resembles the Hollywood film The Golden Child (1986).

It is well known that top director Rajamouli has drawn inspiration from numerous Hollywood films for scenes and action sequences. Similarly, Nag Ashwin seems to have taken cues from foreign films.

Regardless of the inspirations, film fans are praising Nag Ashwin for his outstanding visuals and special effects.

The dystopian thriller genre is relatively new in Indian cinema, and Nag Ashwin has skillfully blended Indian mythology with this genre.
