'Jorugaa Husharugaa' is meaningful and emotional

After 'Baby', actor Viraj Ashwin played a mechanic in 'Maya Petika' and did a cameo in the recent 'Hi Nanna'. 'Jorugaa Husharugaa', described by the makers as a meaningful entertainer, is directed by Anu Prasad.

The film will be released worldwide in theatres on December 15.

Viraj Ashwin says that the December 15th release has him in the role of a software employee from a middle-class economic background.

"Middle-class people hide their problems from their colleagues. They put on a smiling face. It is a relatable story. Sai Kumar garu, who plays my father, is a weaver who wants to see his son become successful. Fundamentally, this is an emotional film where a handloom weavers' family is at the centre," he says, adding that the biggest emotion is that between a child and his father.

"I grew up in a township and lived in a close-knit community. Doing 'Jorugaa Husharugaa' was not difficult because I could slip into the character," the actor adds.

"Entertainment, love, and emotions are at the core of the story. You can expect a wide spectrum of elements," says Viraj, describing the film as a light-veined one.

The film stars Pujita Ponnada as the heroine. Producer Nireesh Thiruveedula of Shikhara & Akshara Arts LLP has bankrolled it.
