Inside Ranbir-Alia's Rs 350 Cr Palace of Luxury!

Inside Ranbir-Alia's Rs 350 Cr Palace of Luxury!

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have built a stunning new home on the site of the iconic Krishna Raj Bungalow, the ancestral property of the Kapoor family in Mumbai.

Worth an astounding ₹350 crore, the mansion has now become one of the most expensive celebrity homes in Bollywood.

But what exactly gives this six-storey marvel such extraordinary value? Here’s a look at its standout features.

The mansion blends tradition with modern luxury and comes equipped with cutting-edge security and structural features.

It has been constructed to withstand moderate earthquakes. Among its six floors, the ground and third floors have been designed as private villas.

The star couple owns six cars, but the building includes parking for an additional 15 vehicles — a rare luxury in Mumbai’s high-end residential zones.

Ranbir has dedicated an entire floor exclusively for his mother, Neetu Kapoor. Another floor is where he lives with Alia and their daughter, Raha. The remaining floors are reserved for guests.

To enhance the home’s aesthetic appeal, custom-made glass was imported from Italy. Not just that — select furniture pieces were also sourced from Italy, while kitchen fittings and accessories were imported from the Netherlands.

The mansion houses two large swimming pools — one on the couple’s floor and another on the rooftop. For terrace gardening, exotic plants were brought in from Southeast Asian countries.

Interestingly, the couple moved only about 50% of the furniture from their previous home — mainly items associated with memories of Rishi Kapoor and other family elders.

The rest of the new home is furnished with high-end, designer, imported pieces. This extensive customisation is why the project cost, initially estimated at ₹250 crore, eventually rose to ₹350 crore.

A special highlight of the home is the majestic Ganesha idol placed at the entrance. Sculpted by Arjun Yogiraj — the same artist who carved the Bal Ram idol installed in Ayodhya — the statue stands four feet tall on a 2.5-foot pedestal.

Ranbir and Alia personally invited the sculptor home to decide the perfect placement for the idol and hosted him warmly.

For decades, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh lived in the original Krishna Raj Palace since 1981. After Rishi Kapoor’s passing, Ranbir built this magnificent six-storey residence with his mother’s approval.

And here’s the most heartwarming detail: the entire property is registered in the name of their daughter, Raha Kapoor.
