It is known that the OG team is trying to get permissions from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for Rs 1000-priced tickets for premieres across multiplexes and standalone theatres.
Interestingly, since Pawan Kalyan is the Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, it is ironic that permission must be sought from him as he himself is the authority.
In Telangana, Chief Minister may grant permission for Rs 1000 thing, but may not be for midnight shows as he previously stated in the assembly that he would never allow such permissions.
If the OG film, which went over budget due to shooting delays, can charge this much, what should the ticket price for premieres of films like Mahesh Babu- Rajamouli film or Allu Arjun-Atlee films be? Could it be Rs 5000?
Opinions vary; some see it as exploitation, others as basic demand-and-supply business logic.
