Balakrishna is competing with Chiranjeevi in the Sankranthi race. Though both the heroes are of the same age group and have an impressive track record behind, they cannot be compared at this age.
Balakrishna would have been almost a forgotten actor had there been no Boyapati srinivas.
Balakrishna's films are scoring good only when directed by Boyapati and miserably getting flopped when the other directors come into picture.

Chiranjeevi's success rate is better than that of Balakrishna recently irrespective of the director. Except his Acharya, all the other movies are on the range of average to success.
Now Balakrishna is coming with Gopichand Malineni's 'Veera Simha Reddy' where the pre release publicity and the hype generated around the songs are many times lesser than that of Chiranjeevi's 'Waltair Veerayya'.
Until and unless 'Veera Simha Reddy' bags huge positive talk, it may not withstand the wind of Waltair Veerayya. In fact, the same applies for Waltair Veerayya with regard to getting the huge positive talk to make impressive revenues.
