Weeks after a late-night hit-and-run in Bengaluru, the city traffic police have identified ex–Bigg Boss Kannada contestant Divya Suresh as the alleged driver of the car involved in the accident that injured three people.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on October 4 near Nithya Hotel in Byatarayanapura.
An FIR was filed on October 7 based on a complaint by Kiran G, who was riding the two-wheeler at the time.
Kiran, who was travelling with his cousins Anusha and Anitha, alleged that a speeding car hit their bike and fled the scene.
Kiran and Anusha suffered minor injuries, while Anitha sustained a fractured leg and underwent surgery at BGS Hospital.
Initially, the car was listed as “unidentified” and reported to have been driven by a woman. The CCTV footage from nearby areas later helped police trace the car to Divya Suresh.
Dr. Anoop Shetty, DCP Traffic (West), confirmed that the car has been seized and further investigation is underway.
