Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is closing in on a historic box office milestone, with reported worldwide collections of about Rs 1766.24 Cr. This includes an India gross of Rs 1343.74 Cr and overseas earnings of Rs 422.50 Cr.
In comparison, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion recorded a worldwide total of Rs 1788.06 Cr, with Rs 1416 Cr from India and Rs 372 Cr overseas.
According to Sacnilk estimates, the gap between the two films currently stands at roughly Rs 22 Cr. On its 37th day, which marked its sixth Friday, Dhurandhar 2 added Rs 1.85 Cr to its Indian box office total.
The ongoing weekend is considered crucial, as stronger collections could help narrow or even close the remaining gap.
Overseas markets are still contributing, although the pace has slowed compared to earlier weeks.
Interestingly, figures on Wikipedia present a different picture. They list Baahubali 2 at Rs 1810 Cr worldwide, while Dhurandhar 2 is reported at around Rs 1818 Cr and still running, suggesting it has already surpassed the record by approximately Rs 8 Cr.
So is it a confirmed domination of Dhurandhar 2 on Bahubali 2 or still a neck to neck feud, is the question.
