Among this year’s biggest disasters at the box office was Hari Hara Veera Mallu. The film faced endless delays and production hurdles before it was finally completed.
Even when it was ready for release, it struggled to find buyers. In the end, it was only after Pawan Kalyan personally stepped in and promoted the film that distributors gained some confidence.
The movie was eventually sold and released, but it failed to perform well in theaters, leaving buyers with heavy losses.
The matter didn’t end there. Now the responsibility has fallen on producer Rathnam. He is expected to provide GST invoices and compensate buyers for their losses.
However, Rathnam is said to be showing little interest in addressing these issues. A few buyers who contacted him reportedly received no positive response.
As a result, buyers from Andhra and Ceded regions have now come to Hyderabad. They are planning to meet Chamber President Bharat Bhushan and press for immediate GST invoices.
Those expected to attend include Shoban (Ceded area rights), Satish (Vizag area), Usha Organization (West Godavari rights), and Dr. Pawan (Guntur and Nellore areas). All are said to be joining the meeting with Bharat Bhushan for discussions.
If Rathnam is forced to issue GST invoices for all these regions, industry sources say the producer could face a financial burden running into crores.
