HHMV Day 1: Clocks Pawan's Biggest Opening

Hari Hara Veera Mallu has taken a thunderous start at the Indian box office, driven largely by Pawan Kalyan’s enduring stardom.

Despite receiving mixed to poor reviews, the film managed to deliver the biggest opening day ever for Pawan Kalyan, surpassing his own previous record set three years ago.

The film kicked off with grand premiere shows on Wednesday, July 23. Tickets sold out rapidly, and theatres reported overwhelming occupancy. These premieres alone brought in an impressive ₹12.7 crore net, exceeding all expectations.

While there were concerns that the negative reviews might dampen day 1 collections, the film still held strong. Although occupancy dipped slightly in the afternoon and evening shows, a surge in night shows helped maintain momentum.

According to early estimates, Hari Hara Veera Mallu collected ₹31–32 crore net on its opening day. Combined with premiere collections, the total day 1 haul stands at a massive ₹43–45 crore net.

With this, the film sets a new benchmark for Pawan Kalyan, comfortably surpassing the ₹40.1 crore opening day record of Vakeel Saab (2021).

Despite this stellar start, the real test begins on day 2. With underwhelming word-of-mouth and lukewarm audience feedback, Hari Hara Veera Mallu may see a significant drop on Friday.
