While Bollywood has been suffering from flops for quite a long time, even Tamil Film Industry is seeing the worst phase from the last three years. There has been no big hit for this industry since 2019.
Now 'Vikram', starring Kamal Hasan grossed around Rs 43 Cr Nett by the first weekend and is now heading towards Rs 70 Cr.
While the Hindi version of the same film is a big disaster, it broke several records in Tamilnadu and other markets in South India. Estimation says that it can easily cross Rs 100 Cr mark.
It was Ajith's 'Viswasam' in 2019 that made a huge collection while KGF2, a dubbed version into Tamil from Kannada also did well.
The other big hits in the last few years have been small films. But Vikram is the big film that made the biggest show in this season.
