Family Star Day 2: Vijay D film sees dip in numbers

According to leading distributors, the highly anticipated film 'Family Star' reportedly experienced a decline in box office collections on its second day, accumulating just over Rs 4 crores.

"It managed a meager Rs 4 crores on the second day, with a more than 30% drop in India collections," stated a distributor.

On Day 2, while the film had a 28.62% occupancy in Telugu states, in Tamil Nadu, the movie had an occupancy of 18.39%. The total collection of the movie currently stands at Rs 9.75 crore.

With Family Star failing to cross the Rs 10 crore mark in two days, it becomes Vijay Deverakonda’s lowest opener at the box office.

Vijay Devarakonda collaborated with his 'Geeta Govindam' director Parasuram in hopes of recreating their previous success, but the outcome seems disappointing.

Undoubtedly, Vijay Devarakonda aimed to rejuvenate his winning streak with 'Family Star' and extensively promoted the film, even likening it to his personal life.
