Drushyam 2 OTT Premiere Lands in Soup?

Drushyam 2 OTT Premiere Lands in Soup?

Venkatesh starrer “Drushyam 2”, the official remake of Malayalam film of the same now, is all set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 25th.

Venkatesh has also begun the promotions. But there is trouble brewing for its premiere as Disney+Hotstar reportedly filed a suit against the makers.

The producers of “Drushyam 2” initially had talks with Disney+Hotstar, and they also said to have signed on the agreement papers to give the direct-OTT rights to the streaming company.

Without canceling the agreement with Hostar, producer Suresh Babu sold the film to Amazon Prime for reasons best known to him.

While the partners in the project have signed for Hostar, Suresh Babu, another producer of the film, sold it to Amazon.

Being an international streaming site, Disney+Hotstar has reportedly initiated action against the producers of “Drushyam 2” for playing a double game and not honoring the agreement. The issue is likely to snowball into a legal problem.

The Disney group is angry with Suresh Babu for his unprofessional attitude. The producers should have canceled their agreement before consulting other streaming companies.

We have to see how this matter would be resolved.
