Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is on a record-breaking rampage and is now closing in on two massive box-office milestones, both currently held by Telugu blockbusters.
One of the records belongs to Prabhas and SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2, which created history in the North American market by grossing a staggering $20.5 million.
The record has remained unbeaten for nearly eight years.
Dhurandhar is now within striking distance, having crossed the $19 million mark in North America over the last weekend.
If the current trend continues, it is poised to become the highest-grossing Indian film in the region.
On the domestic front, Dhurandhar is inching closer to another major benchmark.
The film’s India collections are approaching the Rs 800 crore mark and are just a few crores away from surpassing the record set by Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2.
Pushpa 2 had amassed Rs 812 crore in India, driven largely by its phenomenal Hindi version performance.
With strong momentum still intact, Dhurandhar is expected to overtake this figure in the coming days, potentially rewriting Indian box-office history by eclipsing both records held by Telugu cinema giants.
