Dhurandhar has emerged as a massive rage. The film is not only setting new box-office records across India, but its music is also dominating the charts, with every song turning into a crowd favorite.
One of the biggest highlights of the film is the special number performed by Ayesha Khan.
The song “Shararat,” featuring Ayesha Khan alongside Krystle D’Souza, has gone viral on social media. Interestingly, Ayesha was not the initial choice for the song.
The film’s creative team, including the choreographer, reportedly suggested Tamannaah Bhatia for the special number.
Given Tamannaah’s immense popularity for item songs in Bollywood, they believed her presence would add extra appeal to the film. However, director Aditya Dhar firmly rejected the idea and turned down the casting.
Aditya Dhar felt that Tamannaah had become a familiar choice and instead wanted a fresher face. He had reportedly watched Ayesha Khan’s special songs in Telugu films like Gangs of Godavari and Om Bheem Bush, which convinced him she was the right fit.
As a result, Ayesha Khan bagged the opportunity, while Tamannaah missed out on the special number.
