Alongside Nagarjuna, his sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil graced the pre-release function of The Ghost held in Kurnool in presence of massive crowd.
Akhil thanked director Praveen Sattaru for showing his father Nagarjuna in the way he wanted to see him in.
“Me and Annayya were talking about nanna’s passion and hunger to do more. He’s the motivation for us. Thank you, Nanna, for keeping us on our toes. From the very beginning, there is intensity in the promotional content of the movie. It’s nearly 2 years journey and I could see the team’s hard work.”
Naga Chaitanya revealed how excited his father Nagarjuna is about the outcome of the movie.
“I usually meet Nanna at least 3 to 4 days a week. He discusses about different topics like Bigg Boss etc. But for last 4 to 5 months, he is talking only about The Ghost. I’m seeing this kind of excitement in nanna, after a long time. Praveen showed Nanna, the way we wanted to see him in. He is looking stylish and slick. Praveen gives maximum output with the given resources. Vegam song is too good. The Ghost is coming on October 5th, then my brother Akhil will be coming up with Agent.”
Nagarjuna thanked the film industry and his father Akkineni Nageswara Rao for all the love and admiration, he, Chay and Akhil are getting from the movie buffs.
“33 years back on October 5th, the family entertainer Shiva was released. I hold cycle chain in the movie. Now, I’ll be seen holding a sword in The Ghost. This is also a family entertainer. It’s a belief that Vijaya Dasami will give success to everyone. I hope, you will all like The Ghost and make it a success. Praveen Sattaru likes movies of action and drama genres. He included both the elements in The Ghost. There was lot of talk about sound design in Shiva. In this movie, the effects and music will be of next level.
I did action in my previous films. But Praveen wanted me to take training for the action part in the movie. Sonal also took military training for 15 days. She injured her leg. I brought Chay and Akhil here to see all the Hungama. I did Bangarraju in the beginning of this year with Chay. It was a hit in theatres as well as OTT and TVs. I’ll soon be doing a film with Akhil. It’s like The Ghost and Agent coming together.
The last time I came to Kurnool was for Annamayya. I took blessings of Lord Narasimha. I danced in front of Basavanna and in the farms of Allagadda. It’s been long since I did an action movie. The whole team worked hard. On the same day, my dear friend Chiranjeevi’s film is also coming. I wholeheartedly wish for the success of both the movies.”
