It is known that a meeting between the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the Telugu Film Industry is pending. The issue is about the ticket prices. There was a meeting held in Chiranjeevi's house some time ago as a prelude and preparation for the actual meeting.
But Chiranjeevi might have decided not to wait until the actual meeting date. So took the opportunity of "Love Story" pre release event to address the issue and appeal to the AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy with whatever he wanted to request.
Chiranjeevi said, "The success of films in this industry is not more than 15-20%. But within that it appears that everybody is flourishing here earning millions.
But we understood how many cine workers are struggling every day just to make both ends meet during the first lockdown due to the pandemic.
We collected money from all the settled actors and donated to the needy cine workers in the form of daily provisions. We are jus breathing some air to see that people are getting ready to come out and watch the films in theaters. But we are in indecisive vacillation with regard to the film releases owing to the ticket prices issue.
I completed Acharya but still in doubt when and how to release the film at this situation. So, I request Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy garu to look into this matter and do the needful keeping thousands of direct cine workers and lakhs of indirect labor. Keeping the remunerations of a few of heroes in mind, please don't take any decision that hurts the lives of thousands of other workers".
So the appeal is done. We have to see if anybody from the AP Government responds to this or will decide on anything only after the actual meeting.
