Chiranjeevi Fires on Deepfake Menace!

Former Union Minister and veteran actor Chiranjeevi has described deepfakes as a “huge menace” and urged the public not to panic over cybercrimes.

He assured that Director General of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy and Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar are personally monitoring the issue and taking strong action to curb such crimes.

Chiranjeevi made these remarks while participating in the ‘Run for Unity’ organized by the Hyderabad Police to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, celebrated nationwide as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.

Speaking at the event, Chiranjeevi praised Sardar Patel’s vision, determination, and leadership, calling him the “Iron Man of India” who united a divided country of over 560 princely states into one nation.

He lauded the police department for spreading Patel’s message of “Unity in Diversity” through public initiatives like the run.

DGP Shivadhar Reddy said the event symbolized more than just a physical run — it served as an inspiration for all citizens to strengthen national unity and integrity.

He highlighted Sardar Patel’s historic role in integrating princely states and shaping modern India.

Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar urged the youth to follow Sardar Patel’s ideals and contribute to building a better society.

He emphasized that the deepfake issue is being handled with top priority and that cybercrime units are actively tracing those responsible.

He also warned parents and children against sharing or renting bank mule accounts to cybercriminals for small sums, noting that such acts could lead to serious legal consequences.

The Run for Unity was held at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road, along with simultaneous events across seven police zones in Hyderabad.

The event drew nearly 5,000 participants, including citizens, students, and police personnel, all reaffirming their commitment to national unity, integrity, and security.
