This is a common phenomenon for heroes to take advace payments drom the producers against the commitment of doing films. But the stars keep on procrastinating to start the film citing several reasons.
The producers have no other way that awaiting the blessing of the heroes for whom they give advance checks.
In the meanwhile, the producers keep on paying interests to the amounts. Mythri Movie Makers gave a huge advance check to Pawan Kalyan and the film is still pending.
Keeping this aside a mid range producer had decided to make a film with a mid range hero keeping his Hindi market in view point.
At that time the hero asked for an advance of Rs 2 Cr and the producer honored. Within no time the hero's new film became a disaster and no director are turning their heads towards him.
When asked, the hero is telling the producer to get the director and the story and he is ready to do the film. The producer is not inclined to do film with this hero any more but the guy is not in the mood to return the money.
Many producers have blocked their money like this in the film industry. If they have to forgo the money, that is not a small amount. If they have to go forward they have to invest more and face the risk. They are like trapped in between Scylla and Charybdis.
But meanwhile, the heroes are buying properties with the advance money and earning huge returns.
