Big Movie Attractions on OTT in September

After a long gap, there is an activity on the OTT platforms about Telugu films. Venkatesh’s “Narappa” set the ball rolling for direct-digital releases this year. Two more middle-range movies are premiering on streaming sites month.

A look at the upcoming OTT attractions.

Tuck Jagadish – September 10 – Amazon Prime

Starring Nani in the titular character, “Tuck Jagadish” ran into controversy due to its decision to skip the theatrical window. But it finally ended on a smooth note and the film is all set to stream on September 10 on the occasion of the Vinayaka Chaviti festival. The producers of “Tuck Jagadish” made decent profits on this deal.

Said to a family entertainer, the film is directed by Shiva Nirvana. Ritu Varma is the main heroine. Jagapathi Babu plays Nani’s brother. Brother sentiment is the main element.

NET – September 10 - ZEE5 Telugu

On the same day “Tuck Jagadish” premieres on Amazon, ZEE5 Telugu will stream a new movie titled “NET”, which has Rahul Ramakrishna as a hero. The digital movie is a surveillance thriller. Avika Gor plays the victim.

The trailer won appreciation.

Maestro

For the first time in his career, Nithin is not releasing his movie in the theaters. “Maestro” is a thriller that has Nithin as a blind man. The thriller will stream on Disney+Hotstar on 17th September. Interestingly, for the streaming site, this is the first Telugu direct-release.

Nithin has made this decision for various reasons. As the film is an official remake of the Hindi thriller “Andhadhun”, Nithin must have felt that releasing it in theaters is a risky effort.

Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the film also marks the debut of Tamannaah as the villain. Nabha Natesh has played Nithin’s love interest. The trailer is quite interesting and it gained millions of views.

Annabelle Sethupathi

Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee have paired up for a comedy thriller titled “Annabelle Sethupathi”. The film is also set to stream on Disney+Hotstar on 17th September. The Tamil film is also dubbed into Telugu and Hindi.
