Andhra Pradesh High Court today agreed with the government’s argument of putting a cap on ticket prices.
The court quashed the single judge’s judgment and asked the theater owners to sell at the government’s prescribed rates.
This is a huge setback to Pawan Kalyan’s “Vakeel Saab”. The exhibitors who paid huge advances in the hope of benefit shows and hiked prices will suffer.
The division bench of the High Court stated that the hike in ticket prices applies only to two days when a movie gets released. From Sunday, the tickets should be sold at regular prices.
