The sudden announcement from Allu Arjun and production house Mythri Movie Makers about the release date of “Pushpa” has made other stars speed up their work.
Allu Arjun locking August 13th as the date is being seen as his attempt to checkmate Mahesh Babu.
Mahesh Babu has been thinking of releasing his latest film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, in the first week of August. This was Mahesh Babu’s original idea when the movie was scheduled to start rolling in November 2020.
However, they couldn’t commence the shoot until January 25, 2021. So, it would not be possible for him to get ready for the August release.
As Mahesh Babu is still thinking about various options, Allu Arjun and his team had announced the release date of “Pushpa”. Thus, he checkmated Mahesh Babu.
“Sarkaru Vaari Paata”, which is in progress in Dubai, will have to look for a date in September or should wait for Sankranthi 2022. Rajamouli’s “RRR” is releasing for the Dussera festival. So, Mahesh Babu has no option.
It must be noted that Allu Arjun had faced the problem of finding a sufficient number of theaters when his film “Ala Vaikunthapurramloo” competed with Mahesh Babu’s “Sarileru Neekevvaru” last year.
Allu Arjun felt Mahesh Babu had used his clout in getting more theaters. Later, their fight was resolved amicably.
