Allu Aravind's Unconvincing Talk On Remunerations

Allu Aravind's Unconvincing Talk On Remunerations

After the COVID-19 pandemic, many people believed that the remuneration for movie heroes would decrease. However, to everyone's surprise, the opposite occurred. Payments for heroes not only rose for big stars but also for actors like Nani.

Some argue that this increase has led to a rise in the overall cost of making movies. Certain producers suggest that if heroes lowered their remuneration, it would reduce the cost of movie production.

Contrary to this viewpoint, Allu Aravind, a renowned producer, disagrees.

He explained, "The remuneration of heroes accounts for only a small portion of the overall movie budget, approximately 20-25 percent. The budget doesn't escalate solely because of their fees; they often work in high-budget movies. I won't mention specific names, but some journalists attempt to analyze movie budgets, focusing on heroes' remunerations. Producers like me don't refrain from making movies just because of the increased budget caused by heroes' remuneration."

Allu Aravind supported the idea of paying substantial amounts to heroes. Given that he has a star hero in his family, his perspective appears logical. He also provided an explanation for why his company hasn't produced significant movies recently.

He stated, "We have two major films in the pipeline, but they keep facing delays due to various reasons. If we don't properly present these big movies, people might not come to the theaters. This is why budgets have increased, but it's not solely because of heroes' remuneration."

However, many ordinary people find Allu Aravind's argument unconvincing.

The remuneration of heroes, along with expenses for their stay in luxury hotels, private jets, and other extravagances, significantly contributes to a movie's budget, even though these costs are not visible on screen. How can the audience appreciate these expenses when they are not reflected in the film?

That's the question Allu Aravind should address.
