AKT Came At Crucial Point In My Life: Ram

Promotions for Andhra King Taluka are happening in full swing, with the team conducting back-to-back events.

Today, the team hosted a musical concert in Vizag in the presence of a massive crowd, making the event extra special.

Producer Mythri Ravi stated that fans of every star will see themselves in Ram’s character.

“It’s a film that connects with everyone through its human emotions. We’ve shown it to more than 30 people, and all of them unanimously gave positive feedback. Ram and Upendra’s performances are outstanding. Director Mahesh is one of the finest writers and directors we have today. He has the ability to convey a strong message in a commercial format. After Koratala Siva, it’s Mahesh who can do that.”

Director Mahesh Babu revealed that Masterpiece was the film’s first title when he began writing the story.

“I genuinely wanted it to become a masterpiece. When producer Ravi heard the first half and hugged me, I understood that the story had something special. It took a lot of teamwork for Masterpiece to become Andhra King. Every character in this film is someone you can relate to. This was a very demanding film, shot in harsh conditions. I truly hope everyone’s hard work pays off.

Directing someone like Upendra, who is himself a great director, was the toughest job for me. He delivered far beyond the stardom he already has. Ram has given everything to the movie. He was with me even during the mixing. This is not a fan–hero story; it’s a premise. Within all of us, there is a father, a son, a lover—and also a fan. Whatever emotions exist in life, all of them exist in this film.”

Upendra stated that Andhra King Taluka is going to surpass all the movies he has done so far.

“My character represents every star, and fans will surely feel proud of it. This movie has all the commercial elements. You have to see Ram’s energy—the energy of his fans is visible in his character. My thanks to the producers.”

Ram called it the proudest film of his career.

“The movie turned out this beautifully because of complete team effort. The producers are extremely passionate. Vivek and Mervin are rare gems—they created music that blends everything beautifully. When Mahesh cast Bhagyashri Borse, we wondered, ‘She looks glamorous, but can she perform?’ But along with the glamour, she proved herself to be a wonderful actress. I don’t think she deserves an award—I think the award deserves her, because she adds value to it.

This film came at a very crucial point in my life. It’s been a great journey. Telugu cinema deserves directors like Mahesh. He made a commercial film while delivering a good message. Upendra’s craze is on another level. He gave his fan hope in life, and that person, who once had problems, reached a stage where he gave jobs to 250 people. It was an honour working with him. I hope I make a strong comeback with this movie.”

A special attraction of the event was Ram’s performance. He sang a song alongside his composers on stage for the first time, energising the crowd, who went gaga as he performed.
