Director Boyapati Sreenu has announced a sequel to “Akhanda”, which became a hit at the box office.
The makers are hopeful that the film would have further run at the ticket window during this Sankranthi festival.
The collaboration between Balakrishna and Boyapati has yielded three hits, and their pairing is considered the hottest combination in Tollywood’s trade circles.
To cash in on the craze, Boyapati Sreenu is planning a sequel. "It will definitely have a sequel," he said.
Balakrishna played a dual role in the film, and his aghora character clicked with the audience. However, Boyapati has not specified a date for the sequel.
Balakrishna will start working on two new films to be directed by Gopichand Malineni and Anil Ravipudi. Boyapati has commitments with Allu Arjun.
So, the sequel or their fourth collaboration may not happen anytime soon.
