'Adipurush' Backfired Badly on BJP

These days, films are often utilized for political purposes. While this phenomenon is not entirely new, it has become more widespread recently, particularly after the BJP government provided free publicity for movies like 'The Kashmir Files' and 'The Kerala Story,' which depicted Muslim terrorism.

The party may have also strategized to capitalize on the film 'Adipurush,' as the party's foundation is rooted in the sentiment surrounding Lord Ram. However, the film has faced widespread criticism from all corners of the nation, leading to a situation where Hindus are divided amongst themselves over a Hindu film.

Several Hindu organizations have expressed anger towards the film's creators, including its writer Manoj Muntashir, for including disrespectful lines about Hanuman. This has escalated to the point where Muntashir requires tight security to protect himself from fanatics.

'Adipurush' has become a source of controversy, leaving BJP leaders unable to openly criticize it or offer any positive remarks due to its subject matter involving Lord Ram.

Sources suggest that BJP leaders at the center are deeply disappointed with the product created by Om Raut, as it has indirectly caused damage to their party.
