Actress Opens Up About Her 'Padding'

Erica Fernandez is the actress known for the Telugus with her presence in the films like Galipatam and Dega.

In a latest talk she shared that she was "thin-shamed a lot" when she acted in Tamil and Telugu films.

She elaborated saying, "I used to wear a lot of padding and I used to feel very bad about myself. They used to put paddings everywhere. I used to feel disrespected."

Indeed, this phenomenon has been so common in the film industry for many decades but this is almost the first time that an actress voiced out the problem.

Being thin or fat is one of the physical attributes but the actresses are not given the opportunity to perform as they are.

The costume designers on the demand of the directors stitch the paddings wherever they feel necessary to make the actresses look in desirable shape.
