There was strong buzz about Mahesh Babu playing an extended cameo in Chiranjeevi's upcoming film Acharya.
Neither the unit members nor Mahesh's PR team denied the news despite it being all over the news. In fact,
Team Acharya and especially Koratala Siva tried hard to rope in Mahesh for an important character in Acharya and the Superstar has shown interest to be a part of it.
However, for some reason things seems to have not worked out as planned. Probably, because of the budget issues.
Now the team is reconsidering Ram Charan, the first choice for the said role. Acharya should wait until #RRR is released if Charan is a part of it.
Chiranjeevi is reportedly okay with it and asked Koratala Siva to schedule the release in March 2021.
If the buzz is to be believed then Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi will be coming together for Acharya. This will save a lot of money for Acharya as roping in Mahesh would push the budget of the film over Rs. 150 Cr.
Chiranjeevi doesn't want to repeat the same mistake that they did for Sye Raa in terms of cost of production.
