Aamir Khan's upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par brings an emotional surprise—his 91-year-old mother, Zeenat Khan, will make her acting debut.
She appears in a joyful wedding song sequence, marking the first time she has ever faced the camera. Aamir confirmed that his sister, actress Nikhat Khan, also features in the film in a small role.
The cameo happened spontaneously. Aamir shared that on the day of the song shoot, his mother unexpectedly expressed a desire to visit the set. He arranged for her to come in a wheelchair, just to watch.
Seeing her there, director RS Prasanna requested Aamir to include her in the scene, calling it a heartfelt moment for the film’s final song.
Though initially hesitant, Aamir was surprised when his mother agreed. She now appears in a couple of frames, making Sitaare Zameen Par her special on-screen debut.
The film also stars 10 newcomers and releases shortly after her 91st birthday.
