September 2025 ended on a high note for Telugu cinema. In fact, it turned out to be the best month of the year for the industry, with almost every new release performing exceptionally well.
Theaters witnessed heavy footfalls and robust collections in both the Indian domestic market and North America.
The first hit of the month was "Little Hearts," a youthful drama that was released with limited hype but turned into a surprise success. The film delivered a tremendous return on investment and also crossed $1 million in North America.
The second weekend saw two films competing at the box office — Mirai and Kishkindhapuri. The superhero film "Mirai" became a true blockbuster, firmly cementing Teja Sajja’s career as it grossed nearly Rs 150 crore worldwide and emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2025.
Despite facing stiff competition from Mirai, Bellamkonda Srinivas’s "Kishkindhapuri" managed to register as a decent hit. After a streak of flops, this film brought some much-needed relief to the actor with modest success.
The month concluded with the arrival of the much-hyped "OG" starring Pawan Kalyan. True to the expectations, the film took massive openings worldwide.
Although it slowed down after the initial euphoria, it still managed to collect around Rs 150 crore in the domestic market and over $5 million in North America, taking its worldwide gross to Rs 220 crore.
The film is a hit and now stands as the highest-grossing movie of Pawan Kalyan’s career.
