“Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga” arrived in theaters three days ago, and the response from the audiences was poor.
The film could not fetch big money from the theaters. Given the film’s content and look, many assumed the producers might not lose much.
Since the story revolves around two houses and songs were also shot in Vizag and Hyderabad, the cost of production should be modest. But our sources say the producers spent Rs 28 crore on this.
Starring Vaisshnav Tej and Ketika Sharma, the remunerations of the cast and crew are modest. But the producers lost big money on interests on the finance borrowed.
“Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga” got postponed multiple times as finding the right release date became a big issue. Thus, the interest rates became a burden.
As hero Vaisshnav Tej wanted a more visible publicity campaign, the producer spent money on Outdoor publicity ads and also went for promotional tours. Altogether, it cost them Rs 28 crore.
The producers recovered Rs 21 crore from the non-theatrical market. From the theaters, only Rs 2 crore is going to come. So, the net loss will be around Rs 5 crore for the producer.
