23 Jukebox: Melodious With Poetic Value

The jukebox for the film 23 (Iravai Moodu) was released today on Aditya Music.

The album features lyrics by Oscar Award-winner Chandrabose for three songs, Indus Martin for two, Rehman for one, and one by Warangal Shankar.

The album opens with a standout track—“Nelpaina Poovulannee Aksharaalaaye, Ningilona Rangulanni Kaagitaalaaye...”. This melodious number immediately grabs your attention with its poetic richness and soulful rendition. Sung beautifully by Karthik and Ramya Behara, this song truly sets the tone for the rest of the album.

Next up is “Kosee Koyyangaane,” a raw folk track sung by Rela John. Unlike your typical cinematic song, this one sticks to its organic roots. It may not have the gloss of commercial music, but its authenticity stands out.

The third track, “Egaraale...” penned by Chandrabose, is another ear-catching number. Sung by Kailash Kher, it blends emotion with energy in a way that lingers.

Following that is “Enta Chestivi...”, another folk-based track. This one feels more generic compared to the others and doesn’t quite leave a lasting impression on first listen.

“Cherasaala…”, again written by Chandrabose, comes next. While the lyrics are intriguing, the tune itself may not stick unless the visuals in the film elevate it. Its impact may depend heavily on the narrative context.

Then there’s “Jo Laali…” by Indus Martin, sung in a lilting and soothing tone by Aditi Bhavaraju. This track stands out for its clever use of similes and gentle composition.

The final song, “Laali Paata” by Rehman, is a slow, emotional number that brings in a pathos-laden touch. It may connect more deeply with listeners during emotional moments in the film.

Overall, the album offers everything a film’s music tracklist should have — melody, folk, emotion, and lyrical depth. With Mark K. Robin composing the music, 23 (Iravai Moodu) shows promise musically.

The film stars Teja, Tanmai, Jhansi, Pawon Ramesh, Thagubothu Ramesh, and Praneeth, directed by Raj R, and produced by Studio 99 and Spirit Media.
