It is now pretty clear that senior actor and TDP MLA from Hindupur Nandamuri Balakrishna is going to play the role of his father NTR in the latter’s biopic, but there has been no word yet from ace director Ram Gopal Varma as to who he would chose to play the role of NTR in his film “Lakshmi’s NTR” – a film on the legendary actor and former chief minister with focus on latter’s widow N Lakshmi Parvathi.
While there has been a lot of speculations that fiery actress and YSR Congress party MLA R K Roja might play the role of Lakshmi Parvathi, nobody was able to guess as to who would play the role of NTR. In fact, people imagine only Balakrishna in the character of NTR and nobody else comes to the visualisation of anybody.
However, there was a gossip somewhere in some part of the media that Varma is considering senior actor-producer Manchu Mohan Babu to enact NTR’s character in the film.
Mohan Babu is a staunch fan of NTR and has similar mannerism of the legendary actor. The height and personality of Mohan Babu also will be matching that of NTR. He can do emotional scenes with ease and expression.
At the same time, Mohan Babu is also closely associated with YSR Congress party. Since the film is being produced by the same party leader targetting NTR’s son-in-law and present chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Mohan Babu might agree to play the role of NTR.
Moreover, Mohan Babu is also relatively free to do the film. And Roja, who had acted with him in the past, will perfectly suit him, say the gossip sources.
