The casting of Sye Raa created a huge buzz when it was announced. The film-makers tried to give the film a pan-Indian appeal by making it large on the lines of Baahubali.
For the same, efforts were made to rope in various leading actors from Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada industries.
As a part of this initiative, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was roped into the cast. At the time, it was said that he too gave his nod for the film.
However, the latest gossip from the unit is that Amitabh Bachchan is no longer part of the project. Of course, the reason behind it is still not known, but talk is that Big B is unlikely to play the part offered to him.
In fact, the role is not of much consequence in the film. Amitabh was to play the guru of the principal character in the film, which happens to be Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy played by Chiranjeevi.
However, if Big B plays the part, then the film will be on a bigger canvas. But to various other commitments of Amitabh Bachchan, talk is that he will not be able to fit in the schedule for Uyyalawada and apparently, the same has been conveyed to mega team.
But the news is yet to be confirmed.
