The Producers' Guild in Telugu Film Industry has called for a meeting with all the top producers on Saturday.
They discussed some issues related to the remunerations of the character artistes and other key technicians.
As the collection from theatres has reduced, the producers are thinking of cutting down the remunerations of many. But interestingly the top heroes and directors are not in this list.
They are thinking to cut down the cost of production by keeping the remuneration of top character artists and technicians like music directors and cinematographers in control.
In this aspect, the producers have decided to stop the film production for some time to make the artistes know the real pain.
With this, they think that they can keep the artists and technicians in control as they will be ready to work for any kind of payment without much demand.
We have to see if all the producers come to terms with this to implement.
