RRR is the film that has been burning the pockets of DVV Danayya from the last two years.
The release dates were changed at least three to four times owing to the Covid lockdowns and restrictions.
It was heard that it would incur a budget of Rs 200- Rs 300 Cr to make this film in the beginning. But with a total burden of interests and long waiting, it touched Rs 500 Cr.
So, the profitability of this project depends upon the overflows at the theaters.
Producer is releasing the Hindi version totally on his own. It is known that the the recent Hindi-dubbed Telugu film Pushpa worked well in Hindi belt. So similar traction is expected to RRR as well. The producer doesn't want to lose that fortune to someone else
So far Rs 225 Cr was earned through non theatrical rights. The theatrical numbers are not yet revealed.
As of now the rights of overseas, Telugus states and Karnataka were sold out. So, on a whole the film would collect very huge theatrically to make it a breakeven venture.
We have to see if the audience bestow such a blessing on this film.
