According to industry sources, the hero gives his approval only after hearing the full story and liking it. During initial discussions, everything appears smooth. The film goes on floors, and even the first schedule is completed without issues.
Problems reportedly begin after the first schedule. The actor then starts raising doubts about certain story points, suggesting changes and asking the team to “think again.” These discussions often lead to delays, with upcoming schedules being postponed.
Over time, sources say, the script is gradually reshaped to include elements preferred by the hero. He is also said to closely track recently successful films and push for similar elements to be added to his project.
By this stage, with shooting already underway and money invested, the director and producer are left with limited options. Keen to complete the film, they make adjustments and move forward.
Several directors are said to have faced similar situations in the past, and now another filmmaker has reportedly encountered the same issue.
People who have worked with the actor earlier say that any script doubts or changes should ideally be raised at the start. Bringing them up after the project reaches a point of no return, they argue, is not the right approach.
Industry insiders note that heroes are smart and experienced. Over time, they develop their own methods of handling scripts, filmmakers and productions and this actor, they say, is no exception.
