There were multiple reports about Chiranjeevi’s Telugu remake of Vedhalam during the lockdown. In fact, the media extensively covered the details about the Vedalam remake at that time.
Even Acharya, Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film that was already on the sets was sidelined with too much emphasis on the Vedalam remake.
However, Chiranjeevi is not doing the remake of Vedhalam after Acharya. The Lucifer remake under Mohan Raja’s direction has been officially launched and it will go to sets shortly.

He is looking to slowly move away from such commercial potboilers and Lucifer is one such film that is loaded with mass elements and hero elevations where the protagonist need not do dances to please the masses.
