Director Surender Reddy and Akhil Akkineni have teamed up for the first time for a spy thriller.
Akhil underwent a transformation to play the role of an agent designed on the lines of ‘The Bourne Identity’ series.
The film was launched long back and has faced many hurdles. Producer Anil Sunkara and Surender Reddy had a tiff over the budget.
Everything was settled recently. However, the shooting is getting delayed for various reasons.
Buzz is that the film may not release in the theaters this year although the producers announced December plans.
“Agent” is being planned as a Pan-Indian film and the post-production and dubbing work will take a lot of time. Hence, it is likely to be pushed to 2023.
