Who is the highest-paid hero in Tollywood? Until now, there hasn’t been much debate — Prabhas has long been among the top three highest-paid actors in the country.
But that might have just changed, as Allu Arjun appears to have overtaken him.
Allu Arjun is currently working on a big-budget film directed by Atlee, and according to industry buzz, he is being paid a whopping ₹175 crore for the project — more than what Prabhas reportedly commands.
In fact, sources say this very remuneration issue was one of the main reasons behind the project’s delay.
Following the blockbuster success of Pushpa 2 for Bunny and Jawan for Atlee, neither was willing to compromise on their pay. Intense negotiations over salaries stretched for weeks before the project was finally locked.
The film, said to be a science fiction adventure, is being made on an estimated budget of ₹700 crore. Out of this, around ₹260 crore has reportedly been allocated exclusively for VFX and graphics. After visual effects, the largest chunk of the budget is going toward star salaries.
Allu Arjun, Atlee, and Deepika Padukone — who plays the female lead — are all said to be charging massive amounts for the film. Backed by Sun Pictures, the project will feature music by Sai Abhyankar.
With this deal, Allu Arjun may have officially surpassed Prabhas, making him Tollywood’s highest-paid actor at the moment.
