After ‘Love Story’, the only Telugu film that made decent money at the USA box-office is Akhil Akkineni and Pooja Hegde starrer ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’. Other films have failed to get even a noticeable opening.
Last weekend, two notable films – Varudu Kaavelenu and Romantic – hit the theaters amidst much hype.
Naga Shaurya and Ritu Varma starrer ‘Varudu Kaavelenu’ has surprisingly opened better.
The film has raked in about 200k dollars from the first weekend. For a Naga Shaurya movie, this can be considered as a decent figure.

Puri Jagannadh produced ‘Romantic’ is a mass film. Such films don’t get patronage at the USA box office. Expectedly, the romantic drama was a disaster here. The film just grossed 10k dollars in the first weekend.
