DJ: A Big Flop in USA

DJ: A Big Flop in USA

Allu Arjun starrer "DJ Duvvada Jagannadham" has taken terrific openings in domestic market and the holidays have helped the film to post big numbers in its opening weekend. But the movie is turning out to big flop in USA.

The distributors paid Rs 9 cr to bag the movie's overseas rights. In order to get profits on this, the movie needs to collect more than two million dollars in US.

In its opening weekend, "DJ" has collected 850k dollars (approximate). It may cross one million dollars mark later this week. But it will not add much further. Hence it is all set to be a big flop in USA market. This is going to be consecutive flop for Allu Arjun in overseas. Allu Arjun's "Sarrainodu" was also disaster in USA.

Although the film posted terrific numbers through premiere shows for an Allu Arjun movie, it has failed to maintain the same momentum.

By doing Trivikram's movies (Julayi and S/o Sathyamurthy) and comic entertainers like "Race Gurram", he has earned following in overseas market. But now he is coming up with regular mass action dramas. Hence they are failing to strike a chord with overseas audiences who prefer entertainers and class movies.
