
Dr.YSR followers of North East USA have celebrated his 62nd birthday at Thompson Park, New Jersey, US. About 600 people which included a lot of women and children from various sections have participated in this event.
Organizers mentioned that they have started a Dr.Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy Foundation in the USA. It is a 100% service oriented non-profit organization. Prime focus and purpose of this organization is to remember the great leader Dr.YSR.
The foundation will serve as a platform to help poor students, fund water purification projects, conduct health camps, and run blood donation camps in both the USA and India.
Prominent people from various Telugu organizations have attended. Other prominent leaders Ex-MLC Mr. Gidugu Rudra Raju, Ex-PCC Secretary Buchi Ramprasad, and Poet Dr. Mule Ramamuni Reddy also attended.
Various speakers have spoken on the event and remembered Dr.YSR and his popular programs such as Arogyasree, 108 & 104 emergency services, Fee reimbursement, IIITs to rural students, pensions to the elderly and disabled persons, loans to women with 25 paisa interest, constructing lakhs of houses for poor people, Jala Yagnam, and free electricity which have helped all sections of people in society. Now they are remembering him every day as those popular programs are being ignored or diluted by the current chaotic government.
The general consensus is “if Dr. YSR were still alive this would not have happened”. In order to continue those popular programs and help the poor, everybody felt we all should support YS Jagan and give him a chance to become the CM of Andhra Pradesh to carry on his father’s legacy.
The organizers of this event Alla Rami Reddy, Rajeshwar Reddy Gangasani, Dr. Raghava Reddy, Srinivas Arikatla, Srikanth Gudipati, Shiva Meka, Nagesh Reddy Mukkamalla and Hari Velkur have thanked the attendees and guests. They pledged to continue to celebrate Dr.YSR’s Birthday every year.
Ex-MLC Gidugu Rudra Raju praised Dr. YSR for thinking about the poor and implementing various programs.
Afterwards, he shared his personal experiences about Dr. YSR with the audience. Ex-PCC Secretary Buchi Ramprasad praised Dr. YSR. He explained how Dr. YSR will be remembered by the people and shared his personal experiences about Dr. YSR.
Dr. Mule Ramamuni Reddy wrote and sang heartfelt poems about Dr. YSR which brought tears to the audience's eyes.
Alla Rami Reddy explained about Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy foundation’s activities and thanked all the donors and volunteers who made the event possible.
Dr. Raghava Reddy said that popular programs started by Dr. YSR have helped all sections of the people irrespective of their caste, creed, and religion. He stated in order to continue those programs and help the poor, we need to support YS Jagan to bring back his father’s legacy.
Dr. Reddy further said that on behalf of the Dr.Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy Foundation, the followers in the North East area are organizing a mega blood donation drive in Philadelphia on September 10th, 2011 in commemoration of the beloved leader’s 2nd vardhanti.
Rajeshwar Reddy Gangasani thanked all the followers for taking a day off from their busy life and coming to celebrate our great leader, Dr. YSR’s jayanthi.
TANA Joint secretary Vasudeva Reddy Chinna said even opposition parties are dearly missing Dr. YSR because the current state of affairs are in bizarre condition in Andhra Pradesh.
NATA Board of Directors Mahender Musuku and Hari Velkur, ATA Board of Trustee Parmesh Bheemreddy, Srikanth Reddy Lakkasagaram, Ramesh Chandra, Pratap Reddy, Bhanoji, and Raja Bommareddy also spoke to the audience.
At the end cakes were cut by Jyothi Reddy and Bala Chenna Reddy. Musical chair winner Pranathi and Bingo winner Manvi have received the gift cards from Gidugu Rudra Raju and Dr. Rama Muni Reddy.
