'Bhagavad Gita Mission' In 108 Languages By 2027

Renowned ghazal singer, cultural ambassador and global peace envoy Dr. Ghazal Srinivas has embarked on an extraordinary spiritual and cultural initiative titled “Bhagavad Gita – World Languages Mission.”

The ambitious mission aims to present all 700 verses of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, along with their lucid meanings, in 108 world languages, making its timeless wisdom accessible to people across nations and cultures.

Guided by eminent Sanskrit scholars, Dr. Srinivas has already recorded the complete Bhagavad Gita with simple yet profound explanations authored by Swamini Sharada Priyananda.

Each verse has been rendered with devotion, clarity and originality, without imitating any existing popular style, ensuring that listeners from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds can easily grasp the essence of the Gita.

Dr. Srinivas’s warm and engaging vocal delivery bridges scholarly depth with mass appeal, effectively conveying eternal values such as dharma, karma, bhakti and universal peace.

Recordings have already been completed in several Indian and international languages including English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Spanish, Persian and many others. Translation and recording work is currently underway in more than 30 additional languages.

With a firm resolve to complete 100 languages by February 2027 and ultimately reach the milestone of 108 languages, Dr. Srinivas expressed gratitude to institutions like Ramakrishna Mission and Advaita Ashrama, along with translators and scholars supporting the mission.

He described it as “not merely a journey of languages, but a sacred endeavour to share the universal human message of the Bhagavad Gita with the world.”
